Purpose of HireFly content
HireFly publishes job information, HR-related articles and career resources intended to help job seekers, HR professionals, employers, students and career-focused readers. Content should be useful, understandable and relevant to the question or decision it supports. It should not rely on exaggerated claims, unnecessary jargon or language designed to mislead readers.
Who is responsible for editorial content
HireFly's articles and informational resources are written and reviewed by its co-owners, Hariprasad C and Aswathi A V. Hariprasad serves as CEO and brings more than three years of Human Resources experience, including work with a private university and HR agencies. Aswathi serves as COO, contributes to content methodology and information structure, and works in Library and Information Science.
These backgrounds inform the work but do not make every page personalised professional advice. Claims involving law, payroll, tax, government recruitment or changing statutory requirements require current primary sources and appropriate limitations.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions should be based on usefulness, relevance, accuracy and reader safety. An employer, advertiser, sponsor or other commercial relationship should not purchase an undisclosed favourable editorial conclusion. Where content is sponsored, promotional or produced through a material commercial arrangement, it should be identified clearly enough for readers to understand its nature.
Accuracy and clarity
Writers and editors should distinguish facts from guidance, opinion or interpretation. Dates, names, qualifications, locations and application instructions should be checked in proportion to their importance. Headlines and summaries should reflect the page and should not create a false impression merely to attract clicks.
Technical or employment subjects should be explained in plain English where possible. Important limitations, conditions or uncertainty should not be hidden. Our separate Fact-Checking Policy describes common verification steps in more detail.
Original content
HireFly aims to provide original organisation, explanation and writing. Public facts are not owned by a publisher, but another source's original expression should not be copied without permission or lawful justification. Short attribution or linking may be used when it helps readers reach the primary source.
Content should add practical value through clear structure, context or guidance. Rewording another page without meaningful value does not meet this standard.
Use of public information and attribution
Vacancy details and employment information may be drawn from official employer pages, public notices, institutional announcements and other publicly available material. HireFly may summarise or format that information for convenience. The official employer or authority remains responsible for its recruitment process and is the final authority on eligibility, dates, salary and application rules.
Sources should be attributed or linked where this is useful, feasible and appropriate. Writers should prefer primary or official material for consequential claims and avoid presenting an unconfirmed social post as settled fact.
Updating outdated content
Job vacancies can close, links can change and employment guidance can become outdated. HireFly may update, label or remove material when a meaningful change is identified. Priority is given to errors that could affect a person's eligibility, deadline, safety, application or understanding of an important issue.
An older publication date does not automatically make an article wrong, but time-sensitive claims should be reviewed when circumstances change. Readers should always check the latest official vacancy notice before applying.
Corrections
Material errors should be corrected promptly after they are confirmed. A correction may involve revising wording, replacing a link, updating a date or removing a listing. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a separate notice. Where an error materially changes the meaning of an article, an explanatory update may be appropriate.
Corrections are not used to erase legitimate criticism or to make an accurate record more favourable to a subject. Requests are assessed against evidence and the public value of accurate information.
Responsible use of AI tools
HireFly uses AI assistance selectively for web technology, coding support, formatting, testing and parts of the content workflow. AI output can contain errors, invented claims or unsuitable wording, so it is not treated as a source of truth or as an authoritative reference.
Hariprasad C and Aswathi A V review important claims, context and presentation before publication. The same editorial and correction standards apply when an AI tool assisted with preparation.
Review responsibility
Published material remains HireFly's responsibility whether it began as a manual draft or used automated or AI assistance. Review should consider purpose, factual support, clarity, tone, safety and whether content meets readers' needs. The level of review should depend on the subject and potential harm of an error: a formatting change requires different scrutiny from salary guidance, a recruitment warning or a statement about law or regulation.
Avoiding misleading claims
HireFly should not claim guaranteed employment, guaranteed applicants, universal verification or market leadership without reliable evidence. Statistics should have an identifiable basis and meaningful context. Testimonials, examples and comparisons should not be presented in ways that imply outcomes every user will achieve.
Sponsored and promotional content
Promotional material should be relevant and should not imitate independent editorial content in a way that confuses readers. Payment does not excuse inaccurate claims or unsafe recruitment practices. Employers remain responsible for truthful vacancy information and fair communication with candidates.
Conflicts of interest
People contributing to content should avoid undisclosed personal or financial interests that could materially influence coverage. If a meaningful conflict exists, it should be managed through disclosure, independent review or reassignment. Editorial judgement should remain focused on readers and the quality of the information.
User feedback and contacting HireFly
Readers often notice a changed deadline or broken link first. Constructive feedback helps improve the site. To request a correction, use the contact page and include the page address, the statement in question, the proposed correction and an official or credible supporting source. Do not include passwords, financial credentials or unnecessary identity documents.
HireFly reviews correction requests in context and updates content when evidence supports a change. This policy is a working commitment to useful, transparent publishing and may be refined as the site and its readers' needs develop.
