Why we explain our sources
Job seekers should be able to understand where vacancy information may come from and how it is presented. HireFly may publish directly submitted vacancies or reference information already made available to the public. Explaining these source types helps readers decide what to verify before applying.
We may summarise, organise, format or present publicly available vacancy information for convenience. This can include making dates, locations, qualifications and application instructions easier to scan. We aim to preserve the meaning of the source and avoid presenting an interpretation as an official employer statement.
Source categories used by the publishing workflow
- Employer-submitted vacancies provided through HireFly's Post a Job form and held for an approval decision.
- Official employer career pages and company recruitment portals used to describe or apply for a vacancy.
- Public recruitment notifications, advertisements and circulars issued by an employer, government body or institution.
- Public vacancy announcements that identify a recruiting organisation and provide enough information to locate or assess the opportunity.
The current job record stores vacancy fields and application details; it does not provide a public provenance history for every field. Readers should therefore use the linked employer website or application destination, where available, to confirm the latest information.
How information may be presented
An original notice may be long, use a table, or combine several roles. HireFly may extract relevant details, add readable headings, standardise the order of information or provide a concise summary. We may also link to an official application page so readers can continue with the source organisation.
Formatting a vacancy does not transfer ownership of the recruitment process to HireFly. Unless clearly stated otherwise, we do not appoint candidates, set eligibility, conduct the employer's interviews or make the final hiring decision.
The original employer, recruiter, institution or official application page remains authoritative for eligibility, closing dates, salary, qualifications, application procedures, selection stages and recruitment decisions.
Direct employer submissions
Employers may submit information for publication. A direct submission can help provide timely and role-specific details, but candidates should still confirm the organisation, person communicating with them and application conditions. Publication does not imply that HireFly endorses every statement made by a submitting organisation.
If submitted information conflicts with an official employer notice, the official notice should be followed and the difference should be reported to HireFly for review.
Public and third-party information
Public recruitment information can move quickly across websites and communication channels. A discovery source may not reflect a later correction or extension. Dates, role counts, locations and eligibility rules are especially important to recheck. Where an official source is available, it should take priority over a summary, repost or informal announcement.
A recruitment agency may legitimately represent an employer, sometimes without publicly naming a client. Candidates should establish the agency's identity, the basis on which it is recruiting and whether any fee is being requested. HireFly does not support charging candidates for guaranteed employment.
Before you apply
- Open the official application link included with the listing, where available.
- Check that the employer name, job title and location match the official page.
- Confirm the latest deadline and whether applications are still open.
- Read the complete eligibility, qualification and experience requirements.
- Check whether an application must be made through a specific portal or format.
- Verify salary and benefits directly with the employer before accepting an offer.
- Keep a copy of the official notice and your submission confirmation.
Changes, expiry and corrections
Employers may revise or withdraw a job after HireFly has referenced it. We may update or remove information when a change is identified, but a delay can occur between the source update and our page update. Readers should therefore check the official page immediately before applying.
If you find a broken application link, conflicting date, inaccurate qualification or other material error, please use our contact page. Provide the HireFly page and, when possible, the official source that shows the latest position.
Using HireFly responsibly
HireFly is designed to make HR-related opportunities easier to discover, not to replace the employer's full recruitment notice. Use our pages as a practical starting point, then confirm the current requirements on the official application page. This simple habit helps prevent missed instructions and supports safer, better-informed applications.
