How this calculation works
When exclusions are off, notice days are added as calendar days. When exclusions are on, qualifying days are counted one by one after the resignation date.
Formula used
Estimated last working date = resignation date + required counted notice days.
Practical example
A 30-calendar-day notice submitted on 1 April gives an estimated last working date of 1 May under this tool’s counting assumption.
Important considerations
- Appointment letters may define whether the resignation date counts.
- Leave, buyout and employer waiver can alter the date.
- Public holidays must be entered manually.
Frequently asked questions
Are weekends always excluded?
No. Exclude them only if your policy measures notice in working days.
Is the result binding?
