How this calculation works
Every date in the inclusive range is checked. Selected weekly offs are marked as weekends; listed holidays on otherwise working days are excluded separately.
Formula used
Working days = inclusive calendar days − selected weekend days − valid weekday holidays.
Practical example
A seven-day Monday-to-Sunday range with Saturday and Sunday off contains five working days before holidays.
Important considerations
- The calculation includes both start and end dates.
- A holiday falling on a weekly off is not deducted twice.
- Shift rosters and half-days need separate adjustment.
