How this calculation works
Basic salary and applicable DA are divided by the chosen salary divisor to find a daily rate, then multiplied by eligible leave days.
Formula used
Encashment = (monthly basic + DA) ÷ divisor × leave balance.
Practical example
Basic plus DA of ₹52,000, divided by 26, gives ₹2,000 per day. Ten leave days estimate to ₹20,000.
Important considerations
- Only eligible leave categories may be encashable.
- Tax and statutory exemptions are not calculated.
- Organisations may use a different salary base or divisor.
